Tulpen koppen met de nieuwe combinatie van DJ Visser bloemen uit Bovenkarspel (N-H) De combinatie bestaat een John Deere 6130R op Soucy tracks en een triple kopper van JVS-techniek met drie rondsels voor 1.80m brede bedden. De bloemen worden gekopt zodat de plant al zijn energie in de ontwikkeling van de bol gaat steken. Als de bloem niet gekopt wordt steekt de plant al zijn energie in het vormen van de bloem wat niet de bedoeling is. These tulips are growing for the bulbs not for the flowers. The flowers are topped so that the plant is putting all his energy into the development of the bulbs. The bulbs are harvest in the summer where after they been put in storage, in the fall the small bulbs are planted back in the field and the large ones are sold to greenhouse growers where they grown to beautiful tulips for the consumer market.
